I believe presenting an inflammation free body for surgery can only help the doctors and speed my recovery.

What are Chilblains?

Chilblains are sore spots which usually occur on fingers and toes – though they can occur in other parts of the body, eg. thighs.

They are sore and itchy and occur when an individual is exposed to cold and humidity. The cold exposure damages the capillary (little blood vessel), bedded in the skin which in turn causes localized inflammation. These “sore spots” known as chilblains, which can take up to 10 days+  to heal.

If you do this and at the same time become aware of what causes chilblains, (see below), and  take measures to try and prevent them from reoccurring, in my experience you will find a huge improvement.

The UK is very cold at the moment and my youngest daughter recently complained about chilblains on her toes. She quickly used Traumeel Ointment on her chilblains and the next day we treated them again.

By the following evening they had all but gone. Yet again- another fine example of why I use Traumeel – it just works so successfully for so many ailments.

Future Prevention

Avoid rapid changes in temperatures – eg:-

• Having very hot baths when you are cold (it is best to get into a warm bath and increase the heat – your body won’t be shocked and chilblains will be prevented),
• Having hot water bottles and keeping them just on your  feet.
• Getting cold hands and feet then warming them up too quickly. e.g. in front of fires, and electric heaters etc.
• Wearing tight restrictive clothing in the winter which reduces circulation to areas which then get very cold, e.g. tight trousers, tight socks etc
• Wearing synthetic clothing, especially socks which don’t allow the skin to breathe, e.g. wearing synthetic socks and then getting cold damp feet. Wearing woollen socks prevents this from occurring.

It rather depends on the supplier and the quality of the raw food. If you are making it yourself this requires quite a bit of dedication, but if you can do this the benefits of feeding them a raw diet is vastly superior to the complete processed foods that are on the market.

If you are able to buy readily prepared raw food this is another option. It will very much depend on what you are able to do and what is available in your area.

3.) Thirdly buy organic prepared food – we have found Lily’s Kitchen is a superb cat food. Vastly superior to all others on the market and very easy to feed. It comes in small tins – I cannot recommend it more highly. It is more expensive but worth the extra cost.

4.) Then if they have access to the outdoors they will also do some of their own hunting� and find mice shrews etc. which actually is very nutritious for them, although it may not be too everyone’s liking.
